The Class II designation signifies a "situation in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences," the FDA said.So far, there are no reported illnesses related to the recalled ice cream bars, but the investigation is "ongoing," the FDA noted.Each year, 1,600 people are infected with Listeria, and 260 people will die from the infection, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Listeria infection, or listeriosis, can be especially harmful for pregnant women, newborns, seniors and individuals with compromised immune systems. Symptoms typically include diarrhea and vomiting.The recalled ice cream bars were individually packaged in plastic bags and sold in master cases. They are labeled with Lot #24351 through #25156, and include: Chocolate Crunch Cake BarStrawberry Shortcake BarRich BarCrumbled Cookie BarOrange Cream BarFudge Frenzy BarCotton Candy Twirl BarSavagely Sour Blue Raspberry BarSavagely Sour Cherry BarCool Watermelon BarCustomers are urged not to eat affected ice cream bars.
