(HealthDay News) -- While some people may enjoy and benefit from drinking alcohol in moderation, others shouldn't drink at all.
Here is a list of people for whom any amount of alcohol is dangerous and should be avoided, courtesy of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:
- Children and adolescents.
- People who have difficulty limiting alcohol consumption to moderate amounts, including current and recovering alcoholics.
- Women who are, may be, or may become pregnant.
- People who plan to drive any vehicle or operate machinery.
- People taking prescription or over-the-counter medications that may interact with alcohol.
- People with certain medical conditions, including cirrhosis.
