(HealthDayNews) -- Because date rape drugs like GHB and ketamine are odorless and colorless, people can't tell if their drinks have been spiked. That may soon change. Drink Safe Technologies in Plantation, Fla., has come up with a do-it-yourself test small enough to tuck into a purse, according to The New York Times.
The test consists of a four-inch cardboard coaster that can be slipped under a drink. If you dribble some liquid on one of two test areas and the spot turns blue, your drink's been dosed.
The test kits are likely to be available in supermarkets and drug stores early this year.
