Osteoarthritis
This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Kadian NT when taken for chronic pain over a period of 22 weeks. Volunteers 21 or older may qualify with a primary diagnosis of osteoarthritis of the hip or knee, if they have been treated for hip or knee pain within the last 90 days.
The research sites are located across the United States.

Hot Flashes
This women's health study will evaluate a non-hormonal investigational drug to help control hot flashes and night sweats. Women at least 40 may be included who had their last menstrual period at least six months ago, who have multiple moderate-to-severe hot flashes each week, and who are prepared not to use hormone replacement therapy or anti-depressants during the 12-week study.
The research site is in Lawrenceville, NJ.

Chronic Pain
Do you have to take daily medication for pain? This study will evaluate a new medication designed to reduce gastrointestinal side effects, such as ulcers, among people who take daily over-the-counter painkillers. Candidates 40-80 may qualify who have no history of ulcers or intestinal bleeding, and have no other serious medical conditions.
The research site is in Wheat Ridge, Colo.
