Erectile Dysfunction
If you have high cholesterol and E.D. you may qualify to participate in a clinical study of an approved medication, Levitra, for an investigational use. Volunteers 18 to 64 who are taking a cholesterol-lowering medication, having difficulty getting and keeping an erection, and have been in a stable heterosexual relationship for the past six months may qualify.
The research site is in Walnut Creek, Calif.

Postherpetic Neuralgia
The study is for people with P.H.N. who have had neuropathic pain for three months or more after healing of acute herpes zoster skin rash. Candidates must be 18 or older, must not have significant hematological disease, and must have a 14-day washout of any of the following medications: benzodiazepines, tricyclic antidepressants, muscle relaxants, oral steroids, capsaicin, mexilitene, dextromethorphan, NSAIDs prescribed for PHN, and anticonvulsants.
The research site is in West Yarmouth, Mass.

High Cholesterol (Hyperlipidemia)
Volunteers with high cholesterol may qualify to participate in this 22-week research study. Participants must be at least 18, must discontinue any current cholesterol medication, must follow a diet recommended by the American Heart Association, and must be willing to have required blood tests.
