That's E for Healthy

Male smokers, take note

(HealthDayNews) -- If you're a man and you smoke, consider taking vitamin E to head off prostate cancer.

A large Finnish study found that male smokers who popped 50 mg (50 IU) of vitamin E a day were 32 percent less likely to develop prostate cancer than those who didn't and 41 percent less likely to die of it, according to the Harvard Health Letter.

Nutritionists recommend taking about 400 IU per day and no more than 800 IU.
