Cameras Track Abortion Clinic Visitors

Controversial anti-abortion activist starts new Web site

An anti-abortion activist is taking advantage of the Internet once again. ABC News reports that the same person who posted a hit list of abortion doctors on the Web is now using cameras to show people entering abortion clinics.

ABC reports that Neal Horsley, founder of The Christian Gallery News Service, claims he is only a journalist exercising his constitutional rights. But Horsley's latest moves have created quite a stir. Vicki Saporta, executive director of the National Abortion Federation, says the site is intended to intimidate women and is causing tension outside clinics.

Horsely is no stranger to controversy. He created "The Nuremberg Files," a Web site listing doctors who perform abortions. One of the physicians listed on the site was murdered by an anti-abortion activist. No cause-and-effect relationship has been established. In fact, a federal appeals court ruled the site legal after a jury found against Horsely in a lawsuit. ABC also quotes legal experts as saying they believe the cameras are constitutional.
