The people who got sick were in California and Nevada, according to a report from CNN.The recalled products were sold in Arizona, California, Nevada and Washington. The items were sold at hospitals, hotels, convenience stores, airports, airlines and other places.Listeria symptoms typically develop within two weeks of eating tainted food. Common symptoms include fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. In serious cases, people can experience headaches, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance or seizures.The FDA said the outbreak investigation began last year but was reopened in April after listeria was found in food samples from Fresh & Ready Foods. The bacteria matched the strain linked to the sick patients, CNN reported.In a news release, Fresh & Ready Foods said the company acted quickly, including removing equipment, to fix the problem.
